CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. -On April 28, 2022, Jamie Lee Komoroski was involved in a collision in Folly Beach, South Carolina with a low-speed vehicle (LSV) occupied by Samantha Miller and Aric Hutchinson, a newlywed couple, as well as one other individual. The accident resulted in the death of Samantha Miller and severe injuries to Aric Hutchinson and the third occupant of the LSV. Police investigation found that Komoroski was traveling at 65 mph in a 25 mph zone at the time, and a blood alcohol test showed her blood alcohol level to be three times over the legal limit. On November 9, 2023, a Charleston County grand jury returned four indictments against Komoroski related to the incident.
